ACCESSING BRAIN STATES WITH LIGHT & SOUND INSTRUMENTS

Mind States by Michael Landgraf

A. Benefiting From Light & Sound Technology.

I began sponsoring learning/relaxation programs in 1991. Participants throughout the greater Los Angeles area have utilized this technology in a variety of applications. Working with professionals in the medical, educational, business and law enforcement communities, we have been able to observe how specific light and sound/sound only sessions directly influence people. The participants came from a variety of backgrounds, their ages ranged from pre-school to the elderly and their health varied from physically fit to the terminally ill.

I have witnessed some fascinating things when people have used light and sound. Before venturing into how others use their instruments on a general level, I would like to share with you two experiences that have made a big impression on me and hopefully will be “food for thought” for you, in terms of the potential and possibilities of light and sound technology.

The experience with Darby Hewitt happened in the spring and summer of 1992. Darby was a head nurse at a large Hollywood, California hospital until she started suffering from the spastic type of Muscular Sclerosis. In a short period of time, she became confined to a hospital bed and wheelchair. Her left arm and hand, along with both legs, were paralyzed.

Because of the M.S. and the medications she took, there was a strong possibility of seizures occurring should she utilize light and sound stimulation. So she sought and received medical clearance from her physician. She then started utilizing an I.Q. Tutor+ by InnerQuest.
