Why Achieve Alpha? Continued
Promoting relaxation in clients is what the director of a successful drug and alcohol treatment program in Kansas City observed. This program is a treatment alternative to the traditional twelve step approach. The director found the 515’s alpha session to be an effective background substitute for the typical muzak approach, making the clients feel at ease so they could get beyond the symptoms and move to the causative root incidents of their addictions.
Helping abused and neglected children, and individuals overcoming drug and alcohol addictions relax while waiting for their appointments are strong indicators that a CD consisting entirely of dual independent binaural beat frequencies can be a useful tool for creating the desired reception room environment. Both situations illustrate how the generation of alpha frequencies can effect individuals in a positive manner.
How do you use light and sound or sound-only frequency generation while treating a client? It really depends upon why the client has scheduled the appointment. Oftentimes a ten to fifteen minute alpha session immediately before therapy will allow the client to become relaxed and focused. When major stress is apparent, a theta session may be more beneficial.
If you are a chiropractor, allow your client to experience a ten to fifteen minute alpha session to relax, yet remain mentally alert, before beginning treatment. Acupuncturists can utilize
alpha sessions much the same way. I suggest doing light and sound sessions before treatment, rather than during, because you would want your client to be focused on what is happening during your treatment. Physicians, counselors and therapists should also notice heightened patient response to treatment when utilizing this approach. Playing audio frequencies during group or individual counseling sessions has proven to be very effective for staying on the topic being discussed. And here is something to consider: when you visit your dentist, wouldn’t it be nice to experience a relaxation session combined with music to occupy your thoughts during treatment? For many individuals, time seems to go by faster when using light and sound during dental work, making the whole process easier to endure.
