ACCESSING BRAIN STATES WITH LIGHT & SOUND INSTRUMENTS
Benefiting From Light & Sound Technology.
She used her unit frequently, often doing multiple sessions daily. Darby never did experience any seizure activity. Within one month after beginning her sessions, Darby experienced less muscle cramping, a decrease in muscle spasms, the fingers of her left hand began to move on command (after more than two years of paralysis) and she gained an overall sense of well-being. Like her doctor, her nurse and her physical therapist, both Darby and I were totally amazed. Incidentally, Darby is another good example of combining strong medications with light and sound and not experiencing any adverse effects.
The other experience happened in the winter of 1997. A friend of mine, Chris Nolind, had lost the majority of feeling in both legs. Chris called and asked if I would help him deal with the stress this was causing him. Although common sense told me otherwise, I agreed because he is my friend.
Under no circumstances did we approach this in a “professional medical” manner. Instead, all we wanted was to help him relax. Now Chris is a prime example of how light and sound can effect everyone differently. Normally alpha frequencies will create a feeling of calmness, but it is different for Chris. Having done sessions in the past where his base rates (heart rate, left and right brain states, left and right GSR and skin temperature) were taken before and after each session, we agreed to utilize higher frequencies. Gamma to be exact.
When Chris arrived for his first session, he was walking with the aid of a cane. That first session, as with the five that followed, consisted of gamma light, sound and tactile stimulation combined with motion (tactile stimulation and motion are part of Integrative Motion System’s bed that I’ve been utilizing since August of 1995).
