Adding Music Or Spoken Word To Your Light & Sound Sessions  Continued

What if you are dealing with some issues and you have a self-help MP3 to assist you in overcoming your problems? Combine that MP3 (or CD) with a light and sound session in the alpha and/or theta frequency range. By using light and sound while listening to the spoken words of the MP3, you should find it easier to accept the information that soundtrack is suggesting as compared to just listening to the soundtrack by itself. Why? Because utilizing light and sound will take you to the level of consciousness where your mind is more acceptable to new suggestions and change.

Are you a student or are you facing a promotional exam at work? What do you do with all those notes you’ve been taking? Try this: In your own voice, make an audio recording of your notes. Listen to this recording in conjunction with an alpha or theta session, or a combination of both. Whichever works best for you. I have had too many clients tell me alpha works best or theta works best, for me to be any more specific. The important thing is you will know what works best for you. And you should know within a matter of one or two days. You will realize you have increased memory retention of what you need to know. Plus you should experience less anxiety associated with your upcoming exam. But if you procrastinate or put off studying until the last minute, don’t even bother trying this method. Instead, skip the exam and by a self-help recording (see above paragraph).

Sound-only instruments can also be combined with the methods described above. They usually connect the same way as a light and sound instrument does. Some models even go one step further. Not only do they come with a stereo patch cord, they also come with an auxiliary cord that has one male connector on one end and two male connectors on the other. This way the single end connects to the sound only unit and the double or “Y” end connects to the left and right audio channels of your home or office audio stereo system. This negates the need to sit still while you are doing a session and allows you to move around, for whatever reason, and still receive the benefit of audio frequency stimulation.
