Alcohol Cessation script for use with the Delight Plus or Kasina Light and Sound Mind Machines

Individuals suffering from alcohol dependency oftentimes need assistance with their self-esteem and confidence. Think about what you succeed at, and have an anchor for positive feelings with a physical response, like squeezing your hand into a fist or tightening then relaxing your shoulders. This will help to direct attention away from internal thoughts (brain chatter) and empower you with positive feelings. Do this while listening to the following script while simultaneously running an alpha or theta light and sound session on your Delight Plus or Kasina brainwave frequency stimulation mind machine. Be sure to record this script in your own voice as your mind is more prone to listen to your voice moreso than that of someone else.

“You have been acting and feeling in ways that have taken you away from your own, natural self for a very long time. You have relied more and more on alcohol to help you through the negative feelings which you’ve been experiencing for too long, and you have done so to such a degree that you find yourself denying your self of your own true feelings.

Nobody feels on top of the world all the time and there will be days that could be better for you. It is only by experiencing the lows in life that you can really enjoy and appreciate the highs. Denying your feelings with alcohol does not solve a thing, it just makes things worse, which is why you have now decided that you have had enough of drinking alcohol and you really want help.

Focus now on an area of your life that makes you happy, that is enjoyable for you to remember, like an achievement you accomplished or praise you received. And when that feeling comes to you smile. Now feel it totally and completely, feel it mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually and notice how you feel inside: proud, confident and happy. Allow those good feelings to grow stronger, while you relax, and just let go. When those good feelings are filling you anchor those good feelings by touching your index finger and thumb of your dominate hand, breathe deeply and squeeze your finger and thumb together while your subconscious mind commits those good feelings to memory and anchors it in. Whenever you want to feel this way, all you need to do is take a long, deep breath and touch your index finger and thumb together and feel the negative feelings disappear, replaced with a sense of pride, accomplishment and peace.

Now imagine being in a situation where you would usually reach for your first drink of alcohol. Notice where you are, what you are doing, who is with you or if you are alone. Picture the scene and remember it in as much detail as possible. Notice the feelings inside you as you reach for that first drink and imagine yourself touching your index finger and thumb together. Take a deep breath and as you exhale feel the need and desire for that drink to disappear and be replaced with a sense of pride, accomplishment and peace. Remember those good, confident, positive thoughts and sensations, and realize the power of being in charge and saying “No thank you, I don’t drink.”

You feel good. It feels great to be confident and in charge, and to know that you are free from that old, addictive way of life. Free from that depressing burden of having to drink alcohol, free to get on with your beautiful life, to experience the highs, as well as the lows, knowing this helps you to really appreciate when things get better.

Now think of an alternative activity to do. Change your routine. It doesn’t matter what activity it is as long as it’s a break from what you would usually do. You are changing. Your way of thinking and acting is improving. You are in command, you are taking charge, you are in control of your life. You are free from the addictive way that alcohol affects your life. Yes, there will be moments when you feel pain and anxiety, but these moments will get less as time passes, and you will once again begin to really appreciate the pleasurable things in life, the little things that make you smile and feel good. Simply breathe deeply and touch your index finger and thumb together, and smile.”
