Daily Journal For Describing Personal Session Experiences And Sensations.

Changes do occur within you as light and sound becomes part of your daily routine. But these changes are very subtle. By and large, the realization that certain things are different happen after the fact, not during, Using this daily log for recording your daily experiences and sensations will help you realize that these changes are occurring. In maintaining a daily record, you benefit by having the ability to review what you have previously written and are able to compare those feelings with what is happening to you now. So use this section. In the days ahead, you will be glad you did!

What do you write down? What types of things are important enough to keep track of? Each “Day” has a list of questions that can help you decide. You do not need to use them all. Perhaps there are others that are more pertinent to your situation. You make the decision. After all, it is your daily log. To keep things simple, print out the next thirty pages (place them in a folder) and keep the folder by your light and sound machine for easy access.

Mind States by Michael Landgraf

Your Personal Daily Journal:

Day 1: Spend 30-40 minutes listening to an alpha relaxation session on your light and sound instrument. You can combine soft-paced music or environmental sounds to enhance the effect. At session’s end, take 10 minutes to allow your mind to file away the positive thoughts you experienced. Write these thoughts down in your daily log.

-What session(s) did you use? For how long? What kind of patterns and colors did you see?

-On a scale of 1-10 (1=lousy/10=excellent), how would you rate the following levels both before and after doing a session: Your stress level? Your energy level? Your ability to focus?

-In what ways do you feel differently after your session compared to before your session physically, emotionally, mentally? How long do these feelings/sensations last?

-Were you able to remain focused on your goals during the session or did your mind drift? If your mind did drift, were the thoughts pleasant? Were you able to refocus?

-Did you have any new ideas? Any “profound” revelations?

-Is your memory improving? In what ways? Do you sense improvement in your ability to concentrate?

-Do you feel more centered? Are you more organized?

-If you suffer from chronic pain, is the pain decreasing? Do you suffer from muscle tension, tightness or headaches? Are they decreasing in severity?

-Do you experience mood swings? Do you notice them decreasing in frequency and/or intensity?

-How are you sleeping? Are your dreams lucid?
