HOW TO USE YOUR LIGHT & SOUND INSTRUMENT

Reading the owners manual that comes with your light and sound machine is always the recommended thing to do first. But if you are like me, it usually is second. Fiddling with the unit always has priority. So in an effort to have you do the recommended thing first, I will keep this short and informative.

How To “Quick Start” Your Light & Sound Instrument.

The following instructions will show you how to immediately enjoy a light and sound session.. Just about all light and sound machines work pretty much the same way, they all have “ON” buttons, “SELECT” and “PLAY” buttons, and of course an “OFF” button. These instructions will get you going with almost every light and sound unit that is available. Just remember to read your owners manual! If you don’t, you will never fully understand the potential of the unit you have. So connect the lightframes to the light port and headphones to the audio port.

First you need to press the power (PWR) switch. This obviously turns on your system. You will see P01 displayed, which is the program that is ready to run. Refer to the list of programs in your owners manual and decide which program you would like to experience. By pressing the UP ARROW or in some cases the Session Category button, go to that program. Now go to VOLUME to adjust the audio. Find the volume that is comfortable for you. Do the same thing with light INTENSITY. This parameter controls the brightness of the lights. Be nice to yourself – adjust the INTENSITY with your eyes closed and while wearing the eye frames. And start with the brightness at a low level. Build up your tolerance to the flashing lights gradually. Keep the INTENSITY setting at a comfortable level!

Press SELECT until the red LED under PROGRAM is on or the correct session appears on the Menu screen. Now press PLAY. There usually is a ten second countdown displayed before the program begins. This will allow you enough time to get settled in comfortably, with your headphones and lightframes on just right. Enjoy your session!

Almost every owners manual that I have seen has simple directions for quick starting their light and sound units. It is a good idea to refer to your manual should you be unclear on how to properly use your instrument.
