What Type Of System Do You Need? Continued
So I described to Christopher the type of sessions I needed: one beta, alpha, theta, a combination of alpha and theta, and one delta session. Christopher created five highly complex and effective sessions. They were utilized with much success at the mental health clinic. These sessions became known as the 515 and as you have previously read, are used in a wide variety of ways by a wide variety of people. Even light and sound manufacturers realize their effectiveness, as DBB stimulation has been incorporated into many different light and sound mindmachines. But the most satisfying aspect of Christopher’s and my little project is that these five sessions, with all their complexity, fit on a single CD, and now as MP3s. People who are photosensitive, visually impaired, on a limited budget or are in need of entraining audiences and not individuals, are able to safely access altered states of consciousness for under twenty-five dollars.
There are many more sound-only instruments available today than when I was doing neurofeedback sessions back at that clinic. There are some inexpensive models out there. There are some expensive models out there. Some are effective. Some are not. Perhaps just more of the same? As previously stated, I believe the best way to tell if an instrument is effective is to use it while a listener is hooked up to an eeg/neurofeedback system. Unfortunately, most people do not have neurofeedback instrumentation at their disposal. They must instead depend on the word of whoever it is that’s doing the selling. In these situations, especially because these instruments affect your mind, be positive that whoever you are considering purchasing from is educated in the technology they are representing and credible in the claims they make.
